"Goodtime
Alley/Boardwalk" Park's games area has had several names since it made its debut as the "Fortune Festival" in 1975. In the Winter of 1981, the games area was destroyed by fire, and the current version was constructed, featuring the now familiar chasing lights along the facades. In the following years, rides were added to the far end of the games area to draw guests in, beginning with Joust-A-Bout in 1982, The Parachuter's Perch in 1983, Sarajevo Bobsled in 1984, Great American Scream Machine in 1989, and Superman Ultimate Flight in 2003. The Boardwalk area went through several other
changes over the years, including the addition of more games along the path
to the Carousel, a military base makeover of the far end of the area when
Right Stuff: Mach 1 Adventure was introduced, and a color change from the
1980's silver and blue facades to the current red and yellow color
scheme. Goodtime
