More progress seems to have taken place on the site,
and more equipment has arrived.

The rebar frameworks for the footers seem to be long,
narrow and shallow, as though they will span the width of
the structure, rather than have individual footers
under each support.

More equipment and storage trailers and a shed have arrived on site It appears more of the rebar frames have been assembled

083005-005.jpg (85191 bytes) August 30th

With the end of August and the final week
of daily operations underway, construction is
really starting to pick up.

No shipments of the pre-fabricated
track appear to have arrived yet.

After the park goes to weekend only operations,
the construction fence will most likely be going
up and the remaining trees that are tagged for
removal should be coming down.

A new marking has appeared between Rolling Thunder's queue and the Golden Kingdom fence, which fits with the rumored move of the queue in preparation for the new ride Two storage trailers are now on the Viper site, and a work area has been set up for welding the rebar frames in preparation for the footers

Overview of the cleared Viper area.   Tree removal along the back edge  seems to have stopped. The Dippin Dots stand that was here has been moved.   The trees on the opposite side of the path are marked for removal, so the path may be narrowing for construction soon.

062405-056.jpg (84609 bytes) June 24th

While nothing has been officially confirmed by the park yet, they have put a proposal before the Jackson Township Planning Board to build a new roller coaster for 2006 in place of the (now removed) Viper.

The former Viper site has been cleared, and trees in the infield of Rolling Thunder have been marked for removal.

According to an article about a manufacturer of wooden coaster track in Europe, deliveries of  prefabricated track segments are shipping across the Atlantic in August for delivery to Six Flags in New Jersey.

We will continue to follow the construction as it progresses this Summer.
